DO NOT REFRIGERATE: This may dry out the sugar sheet and cause it to crack. Simply keep the edible image stored flat in the plastic bag at room temperature out of any direct light. This will prevent the color from fading. Edible sheets have a shelf life of 6-12 months if stored in ideal conditions, such as airtight bags, but we recommend using the sheets just days or a few weeks after you receive them and avoiding ordering too far in advance. You can use edible images on Buttercream, Fondant, Italian Meringue Frosting or sugar icing for cookies. DO NOT apply to wet frostings such as Whipped Cream, Ice Cream or Gelatin unless you are eating it immediately. WHEN TO APPLY: The edible image can be placed on at your convenience, but not more than 12 hours prior to the event. Depending on how wet your frosting is, the image will begin to fade with too much moisture. If you are concerned about fading, place the image on the cake between 2 to 4 hours before the event. Do not let water come in contact with the edible image before or after on the cake otherwise the sugar sheet will melt and ruin the print. Store it in dry and cool conditions. Handle with clean, dry hands.
